Halloween often feels like the start of the holiday season, which is full of opportunities to spend time with friends and family. As we look ahead and start planning our favorite events, we want to inspire you about what a difference friendship can make. When God is involved, one changed life can lead to a ripple effect of lives changed for the better.

This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. [7] You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co-worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf.

Colossians 1:6-7 NLT

Our change can inspire others that changing for the better is possible. This is a great reminder as we move into the holiday season and have a number of opportunities to inspire our friends through Let’s Talk Nights and some great events we have coming up that offer fun for everyone.

For example, last Saturday, singles in the West Bay met at beautiful Half Moon Bay at Andreotti Farms while singles in the East Bay met in Stockton at Dell Osso Farms. It was a great afternoon of friendship and fun. People had fun strolling through the pumpkin patch, watching the sunset, playing games, enjoying refreshments, and navigating their way through a corn maze. So many memories were made and friendships were bonded!

We look forward to inspiring more friends and making more memories at our Sunday Services on October 30 with our annual Trunk or Treats. Last year was such a great time where families from all over our neighborhoods and communities came together to dress up, eat great food, and make memories that lasted all year. We even had a news crew stop by our Sunnyvale Common Ground building to document everyone coming together to make a great Halloween for everyone. We can’t wait to see you all this weekend.

Stay tuned for many more fun events this fall, and plan your own with your neighbors and friends! A timely friendship can make all the difference in someone’s life.

Till next time,

Sam and Tenea Manuel
