The New Frontier

A reflection on the future of the church.

“Through all this upheaval, God's message spread to new frontiers and attracted more and more people.”

— Acts 12:24 (The Voice)

What this is

The New Frontier is a personal essay written by Russ Ewell, the executive minister of Bay Area Christian Church. It reflects on the “new frontiers” God is trying to bring us through, both as individuals and as the church. The five-part series not only lays out the spiritual direction we’re headed as a church, but also helps us discover what personally walking with God forms within us: devotion, conviction, and vision that all lead to lifelong impact.

It’s written for Christians ready to dig deeper and press further, for those who left institutional Christianity but never stopped longing for something real, and for searchers carrying questions that nothing else has answered. Read each part as it’s published, or download the full ebook.
