Discover how the Jesus Effect transforms our community outreach and brings biblical principles to life today.

We often talk about the importance of helping others, but putting our faith in action requires more than just good intentions. This video explores how we can move from belief to impact by looking at the model Jesus set for us. Whether through supporting E-Life, contributing to Hope Technology School, or aiding in Disaster Relief and Benevolence initiatives, our collective efforts are part of a larger plan to reflect God’s love in our neighborhoods.

By intentionally doing good, we create ripples of change that extend far beyond our immediate surroundings. Watch to learn practical ways to join the 2026 fundraiser and see how your involvement serves those in need, turning our shared convictions into tangible support for our city.

In Acts 10:38 NLT it says…

And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good…for God was with him.

Jesus went around doing good, because God was with him. That’s what he was known for and how he brought hope to the world.

Because God was with him, Jesus didn’t just heal a man with leprosy. He reached out and touched him when no one else would. As a result, thousands of people came to listen to him.

Because God was with him, Jesus didn’t define a woman by her past but by God’s love for her. As a result, a whole village was changed.

Because God was with him, Jesus healed those who’d been forgotten, connected with those who were hurting, and gave hope to those who’d given up. Because God was with him, Jesus did good. And because Jesus did good, the whole world was changed.

The same God who was with Jesus is with us, too. Likewise, there are countless people around us who feel forgotten, are hurting, and have given up.

One in three people with a disability feels isolated or left out. One in thirty-one children in this country is identified with autism — and every one of them has a family wondering who is going to include them. One in four families in the Bay Area struggle to afford food and housing, and the holidays are when they feel it most.

In Ephesians 2:10 NCV it says…

God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us to do good works, which God planned in advance for us to live our lives doing.

God made us to do good. When we come close to him, we can make the same impact Jesus did. What could happen because God is with you? Whose life could change? What ripple effect could you begin?

This November, each of us has the opportunity to start that ripple. From November 1st to the 15th, we will be running our annual Doing Good Fundraiser. These donations will go towards the E-Life inclusive program initiative, our community partner Hope Technology School, disaster relief, and benevolence to meet the immediate needs of those in our fellowship who could use a helping hand.

Because God was with one man doing good, the whole world was changed. Imagine what can happen when we follow in his footsteps and do good together. Go to bacc.cc/doing-good to learn more.
