Prayer is not just a time to let out all our emotions, or ask God for what we want, it is a time to let down with God and connect with him. In order to do that, we need to believe that prayer is something that can actually move mountains.

Matthew 21:21-22 (NCV)
21 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will be able to do what I did to this tree and even more. You will be able to say to this mountain, ‘Go, fall into the sea.’ And if you have faith, it will happen. 22 If you believe, you will get anything you ask for in prayer.”

Daniel 6:10 (NCV)
10 Even though Daniel knew that the new law had been written, he went to pray in an upstairs room in his house, which had windows that opened toward Jerusalem. Three times each day Daniel would kneel down to pray and thank God, just as he always had done.

Mark 1:35 (NCV)
35 Early the next morning, while it was still dark, Jesus woke and left the house. He went to a lonely place, where he prayed.

1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 (NCV)
2 We always thank God for all of you and mention you when we pray. 3 We continually recall before God our Father the things you have done because of your faith and the work you have done because of your love. And we thank him that you continue to be strong because of your hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

James 5:16 (NCV)
16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so God can heal you. When a believing person prays, great things happen.

Hebrews 5:7 (NCV)
7 While Jesus lived on earth, he prayed to God and asked God for help. He prayed with loud cries and tears to the One who could save him from death, and his prayer was heard because he trusted God
