Many of us have been experiencing adversity in all forms this year, whether it’s with the continual challenges of a global pandemic, the persistence of racial injustice, or even now in California with the recent wildfires. These challenging times, along with our own personal struggles, can easily leave us feeling overwhelmed and discouraged. This is why we need God. With God, we can see that out of adversity comes opportunities for hope. The Bible teaches us that there is an opportunity in adversity to grow in our faith and learn to rely on God and his power to help us not only overcome our own challenges, but help others do the same.
