XCED is a group of young people who want to exceed society’s low expectation of teenagers – they believe that students are capable of having a real influence on their communities.
Standing for “Extra-Curricular Educational Development,” XCED is striving to change the culture in our schools and communities regarding inclusion. Some of our teens have siblings who are adopted or have special needs, and they know what it feels like to be excluded. They have two goals. The first is to help these kids, and many others, to feel included. The second is to help them exceed far beyond their limitations and soar above society’s expectations.
