One of the ways we live out our mission at the Bay Area Christian Church is by showing God’s love in practical, personal ways. Recently, the Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) in Stockton shared a heartfelt thank-you video recognizing the impact our volunteers have made, and we’re grateful for the chance to highlight it.
For the past two years, our Dublin campus has partnered with the OVP to support families affected by gun violence and to encourage the important work being done to reduce violence in the community. Through this partnership, our members have been able to provide gift cards for kids during the holidays and summer, bringing hope, dignity, and joy to families walking through incredibly difficult circumstances.
This past summer, we were especially proud to see our own Pat Carter honored as the Most Outstanding Community Volunteer at the Symposium for Victims of Gun Violence. It was a powerful reminder that everyday faith and service can make an extraordinary difference.
As we head into the holiday season, we’re excited to continue standing with the OVP and supporting their life-changing work. We hope this video encourages you the way it encouraged us: when we serve others, we make God known—and together, we can bring light to people who need it most.
