About Michele

As the women’s ministry leader of the Sunnyvale campus afternoon service at the Bay Area Christian Church, Michele Coulliette provides mentorship and spiritual formation to new leaders looking to grow in their devotion to God and love for others, drawing on three decades of experience serving communities across the Bay Area, from San Jose to Stockton.

Michele graduated from California State University, Chico with a degree in business. She began her career as a business manager in direct marketing at Oracle, where she earned an excellence award before choosing to devote her life to spiritual community and social impact through a career in ministry. Since she joined our ministry staff, she and Jason have served at our San Francisco, Palo Alto, Tri-Valley, and Sunnyvale campuses. They have also helped build our satellite groups in Davis and Stockton.

Michele has a deep desire to make people feel loved and to do good in the world—a desire that shows up far beyond Sunday mornings. During the pandemic, she and Jason hosted “porch parties” for their neighborhood, creating a consistent place for connection at a time when loneliness and anxiety were running high. They created socially-distant holiday celebrations for the neighborhood for Easter and Christmas. The impact was so tangible that Michele received a Dublin “everyday hero” award for her efforts. Michele and Jason also coordinate the BACC professionals’ ministry across all our nine campuses. Michele enjoys creating a spiritual community for singles who are living the fast-paced, exciting, and innovative life of building a Bay Area career. She and Jason have organized large-scale workshops and local meetups to promote the spiritual formation, career growth, and social impact of Bay Area singles.

Michele brings that same spirit to her role as our special events coordinator. She regularly plans innovative services and events for hundreds of people, creating opportunities for the Sunnyvale community to gather in a welcoming, positive environment. She and Jason coordinate our annual Trunk or Treat and Easter Egg Hunt, both of which have been featured on ABC and Fox News Bay Area for their intentional inclusion of the neurodiverse community. For Michele, events like these are simply opportunities to bring joy to friends and neighbors—no religious affiliation required.

Jason and Michele have an adult and teenage daughter, and enjoy living in and serving their Sunnyvale community.
