Scott and Margo also oversee the church’s expanding satellite groups in Fairfield, Brentwood, and Stockton. Additionally, Margo serves as the co-director of the Children’s Ministry for the Bay Area Christian Church, providing oversight for programs across our nine campuses.
Margo’s leadership is rooted in a lifelong commitment to caring for and protecting others. She began her career in healthcare, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Presbyterian School of Nursing at Queens University. She went on to work as a registered pediatric nurse and became a supervisor at Bay Area Pediatrics, developing the ability to manage teams effectively and build an environment of care and compassion.
Margo brings the empathy and training of her background in pediatric health to her role as children’s ministry director, having a deep dedication to the well-being of every child at BACC. The result is a children’s program that sets the standard for both safety and excellence.
With three decades of experience in women’s ministry, Margo has become a prominent voice for leadership development across the Bay Area. As a featured speaker at the annual Girls’ Night Out events, she has spearheaded the expansion of these programs into Stockton and Brentwood, creating vital spaces for women of all ages to pursue lives of purpose and impact.
Along with her husband, Scott, Margo has been instrumental in building BACC’s community partnerships that serve underserved families. She and Scott launched our first Holiday Toy Drive in 2008, establishing a sustained collaboration between the BACC and agencies like A Better Way to meet the needs of foster children in the Bay Area. The Toy Drive has now provided more than 22,000 toys to children in need across the Bay Area.
As advocates for families with disabilities, Scott and Margo also formed a non-profit called XCED that helped publish a book for siblings of children with special needs. The book was endorsed by the chief psychiatrist and medical director of the Children’s Health Council.
