Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.

Hebrews 10:24 NLT

There’s nothing more inspiring than starting the new year by helping dreams come true!

On January 7th, we got to do just that at the annual E-Hoops and Golden State Warriors’ Special Needs Family Appreciation Night. BACC is proud to support programs like E-Life that change our world for the better by promoting inclusion and empowering all kids to reach their full athletic and social potential.

Today we want to share with you the inspiration we saw as the E-Hoops players and coaches hit the court at Chase Center, which was a dream come true for all involved.

God’s dream for inclusion becomes a reality

Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but when dreams come true at last, there is life and joy.

Proverbs 13:12 TLB

The night started with E-Hoops parents, kids, friends, and coaches from across the Bay Area arriving early to watch the Warriors’ pre-game shootaround and immersing themselves in the electric atmosphere of warm-ups that precede every game.

A unique highlight of the evening was the “Primetime” scrimmage just before the Warriors’ tip-off. E-Hoops players took center stage, playing a scrimmage on the same court where basketball legends make history. We could feel the joy and excitement radiating from the kids as they dribbled and shot hoops, achieving a dream that had seemed beyond reach for many of them and their families.

As they headed home after the game, each child carried with them not only the memory of playing on the Warriors’ court but also a life-changing realization that when everyone cares, dreams do come true!

One of the parents, deeply moved by the experience, expressed her gratitude for the E-Hoops coaches who went above and beyond. She shared how one particular coach stepped in to support her daughter, who went from being reluctant to participate to taking shots on the court, making the night even more special. It was a reminder that doing good creates a ripple effect that touches lives in powerful ways.

The Warriors’ staff echoed this sentiment, expressing how much they loved working together with E-Hoops to promote inclusivity. Their commitment to inclusion was evident, and they expressed eagerly anticipating more collaborations in the upcoming seasons.
The night was not just a game; it was a meaningful show of support to the Bay Area community that E-Sports serves and impacts.

The partnership of E-Hoops and the Golden State Warriors exemplifies the values of the BACC. Our church is dedicated to doing good so we can change lives, transcend barriers, and foster a spirit of compassion. The collaboration with the Golden State Warriors is not just about sports; it’s a testament to the power of community partnerships that extend beyond conventional boundaries.

Through the Warriors and E-Hoops’ special night, we see the impact of Hebrews 10:24 and Proverbs 13:12 in how God moves powerfully to make dreams come true when we are passionate about doing good for others.

Whose dream does God want you to champion through doing good in 2024?

Until next time,
