The same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world and changing lives everywhere, just as it changed yours that very first day you heard it and understood about God’s great kindness to sinners.

Colossians 1:6 TLB

It is appropriate that in this month of March, Women’s History Month, we take a moment to reflect on and celebrate the impact our BACC women’s ministry has had on women in the Bay Area and beyond.

Every year, the beginning of spring is a marker for one of our best events, Girls’ Night Out. This event gives women from all over the Bay Area the opportunity to connect, have fun, and inspire each other to have the faith to make a difference in the world.

We are incredibly grateful to be in a church that has a strong women’s ministry, and we can see some of the impact of this ministry by remembering what God has done through Girls’ Night Out events over the past few years.

Unstoppable Impact

And nothing stopped them! They kept preaching every day in the temple courts and went from house to house, preaching the gospel of Jesus, God’s Anointed One!

Acts 5:42 TPT

Not even the pandemic could stop the love, faith, and inspiration of Girls’ Night Out! Instead of stopping this great event, the disruption of the pandemic led us to innovate so that Girls’ Night Out could meet the needs of more women.

In 2020, we put on a series of virtual events for women called “Fireside Chats,” and in 2021 we created a Girls’ Night Out event called “Reflections,” which women could join either virtually or in-person. Women from all over the world and all walks of life came and had the opportunity to talk about the challenges of pandemic stress and and ways to overcome these challenges. So many women came out of that time motivated to study the Bible, change their lives, and build a closer relationship with God.

That event helped spur on many women to get baptized this past year. One of those women was Alexis McMillian from Palo Alto was baptized in May, just a month after Girls’ Night Out. We continued to see the impact of the relationships built at this event through many more lives changed throughout the year. Women from all around the Bay Area like Sally Aglubat and Esther Juan from San Jose also made decisions to change their lives in the months that followed.

Global Impact

And now the Word of the Lord has spread out from you to others everywhere, far beyond your boundaries, for wherever we go we find people telling us about your remarkable faith in God.

1 Thessalonians1:8 TLB

We were so inspired to see the impact of our 2021 Girls’ Night Out reach not only women in the Bay Area but also women all over the globe. Some of the women here in the BACC created Girls’ Night Out events for those who speak Spanish in the Bay Area and beyond. Laura Query translated the video from Girls’ Night Out into Spanish and Jennifer Chin hosted a Girls’ Night Out specifically for Spanish speakers who wouldn’t otherwise have been able to understand the message.

Simultaneously, Nicole Doña had been sharing resources like BACC live stream services and Deep Spirituality devotionals with Christians in Panama through her family connections. As they watched the live stream services, the women in the church in Panama heard about Girls’ Night Out and they expressed that they wanted to be a part of it. Nicole and Jennifer teamed up, and Spanish speakers from the Bay Area and Panama met together to celebrate, listen to the message, and share their lives.

Women of Impact

The same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world and changing lives everywhere, just as it changed yours that very first day you heard it and understood about God’s great kindness to sinners.

Colossians 1:6 TLB

Now, we are in 2022 and we are excited to mark spring again with an exciting Girls’ Night Out called “Women of Impact.” We will gather together in our neighborhoods for an inspiring message and an opportunity to stir each other to grow, change lives, and have even more impact on the world.

Join us for great food, great fun, and great conversations at this year’s Girls’ Night Out on April 2, 2022. Together, we look forward to building relationships that last a lifetime and being used by God to make a bigger impact than we can dream of.

Till next week,
