God is…

Often we meditate on what is not going right, what could go wrong, what we are not doing,  what others are not or should be doing…

What if we focus on what and who God is?

At that time Abimelek and Phicol the commander of his forces said to Abraham, “God is with you in everything you do.”

Genesis 21:22

How aware are you of God’s presence in EVERYTHING you do?

How different would your attitude, your life, your home be if you actually believed God when he says “ I am with you in everything you do”?

What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the LORD our God is near us whenever we pray to him?

Deuteronomy 4:7

You have control over how close you are to God. He is near me whenever I pray to him.

For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.

Deuteronomy 4:31

How often do you think  about  the qualities of God? He is merciful. He will not abandon. He will not destroy. He will not forget about you…

You have to Choose to believe these things about God instead of your feelings or emotions….

He will not forget about you or forget about your  hearts desires.

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

Deuteronomy 7:9

God is faithful…even when we are faithless.

For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.

Deuteronomy 20:4

God fights your battles with you; He will go with you. Do you ask him for help when you are in need or do you try to fight  battles alone? God gives victory.

God is mighty, but despises no one; he is mighty, and firm in his purpose.

Job 36:5

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior ;my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and he saved me from my enemies.

Psalm 18:2-3 (NLT)

What do you put your security in? Your plans, people, circumstances?

What do you feel insecure about today? Do you call on God? Do you believe he can save you from anything?

For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.

Psalm 84:11

Do you believe that God will not withhold any good thing from you? Do you believe in his goodness and love?

Do you believe this scripture? You must Choose to believe this scripture.

Look! God is my Savior. I am confident and unafraid, because the Lord is my strength and my song.  He is my Savior.

Isaiah 12:2

Confidence and courage should come not from your  own abilities or righteousness, but from GOD.

But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him.

Daniel 9:9

God is merciful and forgiving EVEN when we are sinful and rebellious. His mercy does not depend on us, it’s part of who He is.

“Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good.

Mark 10:18

Only God  IS  good! How do you try to be “good” or get confidence in your own goodness instead of knowing that ONLY He is good?

This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.

1 Corinthians 1:25

Even the most seemingly unreasonable plans of God are BETTER than your best plans and ideas.

What are the plans, situations in your life you question God about?

What are the things He is doing in your life that you think are foolish or weak?

God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest human strength.

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

1 Corinthians 10:13

Do you believe you can handle anything life throws at you because” God will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand”?

How is He teaching you to endure?

Do you ask God for strength to endure or do you give in to your overwhelming feelings?

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.

1 Corinthians 14:33

God brings peace and calm. Disorder and chaos, even internally in your heart, is from Satan! Ask God for peace daily.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort

2 Corinthians 1:1

God is merciful and the source of all comfort. Go to God for comfort instead of trying to feel good any other way.

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

Philippians 2:13

God can give you the right desires to do what pleases Him! He can change your heart.

What are the right desires you need to ask Him to give you today?

He gives you not only the right desires, but THE POWER to actually put them into practice.

This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.

1 John 1:5

God is light- what sins are keeping you apart from him?

Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything.

1 John 3:20

God IS greater than our feelings. How can you change your mindset today to thinking about who God is instead of who you are not, others are not or circumstances are not?

Choose to believe who God is and  get your security from God’s character no matter what life throws at you instead of anything else.
