Inspired by the way E-Soccer has brought hope and vision to so many special needs families in the Bay Area, the Las Vegas Church embraced the passion to bring E-Soccer to their community – the typical and special needs families of Las Vegas and the greater southern Nevada area.

On Saturday, August 27th, some 400 parents and new E-Soccer coaches gathered in Las Vegas for a “meet and greet” in preparation for the launch of Southern Nevada E-Soccer on Saturday, September 10th. Earlier in August the new E-Soccer coaches there also received four hours of training in working with special needs children from a UNLV professor who specializes in that arena.

A team of eight experienced, veteran coaches and/or occupational therapists from the Bay Area E-Soccer program, founded by Russ Ewell, will be arriving on Friday, September 9th to work alongside the Las Vegas coaches in helping launch their program’s first season on September 10th. This launch of the Southern Nevada fall season program promises to “kick off big” with some 270+ children, ranging in age from 3 to 14 years old, all of whom are already registered to play! All age groups are already divided into teams of 10 kids, with approximately half typical and half special needs children in each:

  • Rising Stars (3-5 yr olds)
  • Shining Stars (6-8 yr olds)
  • Shooting Stars (9-11 yr olds)
  • Twilight (12-14 yr olds).
