Understanding emotion is central to the quality of our relationship with God and people. Our understanding of emotions determines whether or not we can develop healthy and dynamic relationships.

However, many people are too afraid or uncomfortable to really put in the effort it takes to understand emotions. As a result, our relationships suffer.

“Do I Understand Emotion?” is designed to help you identify and share your emotions so you can experience meaningful and sincere relationships with God and others.

Character Study:

David

Resources:

  • 1 Samuel 1-2:10
  • Psalm 18, 25, 42, 51, 112

Going Deeper:

  1. What are your three primary emotions?
  2. How often do you share these emotions with God, your spouse, or your friends
  3. If you don’t, what hinders you from sharing your emotions with God, your spouse, or your friends?
