God has a great destiny for us if we choose to embrace his will for our lives. Our destiny is shaped by the choices we make, NOT by chance. The choices we make to prioritize God, friendships and our purpose are the most important of those decisions. Everything we are going through in life, whether good or bad, can serve for good when we make choices to love God.

Choosing Our Destiny

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

Romans 8:28-29 (NIV)

God works for good whether you believe it or not.

How do you see God working powerfully in your life?

Loving God is a choice and your love for people is the greatest sign that you love God (Hebrews 6:10-12). How is your love for others? Would the people around you say they feel loved and cared by you?

There is a predestined purpose for our lives set up by God.

Two Choices Everyone Needs to Make to Pursue God’s Destiny for Their Lives:

1. Choose Sacrifice Over Selfishness

24 I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernelsa plentiful harvest of new lives. 25 Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity.

John 12:24-25 (NLT)

What areas in your life do you need to deny yourself/sacrifice in?

What is your view of sacrifice right now? Truth about sacrifice is that it builds closer relationships, helps you be fruitful, and  results in eternal life.

Who can you love today?

2. Choose to Invest Everything

48 But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.

Luke 12:48 (NLT)

You have been chosen, therefore much is expected of you.

What is God calling you to do?

Pray to take on everything God is calling you to do with your whole heart.
