God has incredible plans for each one of us, and this study explores how we are all chosen by God. But we have to be close to Him to find the destiny we are meant to live.

In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:4-6

God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
May God give you more and more grace and peace.

1 Peter 1:2

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Esther 4:14

It is easy to forget that God has destined each one of us to have a specific impact. He gave us the talents we have, allowed the experiences we went through, given us our family and friends to prepare us for the purpose we are here to fulfill.

It is tempting to believe that our day to day decisions and actions do not matter, that they have no lasting effect. On the contrary, it is the day to day actions that define who we are and who we are becoming. God is working in all of us to bring us into completion, to make us into the person we are meant to be, through discipling, trials, triumphs, victories, and defeats.

How are you responding to the training? How are you responding to His call to grow? It is the seemingly small decisions that can either build our strength or sap it. These small decisions to love, forgive, persevere, endure, and give lead to the ability to look farther, to gain a dream, know that you were chosen to do it and see it come true. This is only possible through a strong connection to God.

 God Believes In You

God created each of us for a specific purpose. Nothing about us or our life was a mistake. Everything that makes us who we are, even past sin, God wants to use to help us make an impact.

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

Psalm 73:13-14

  •  God chose each one of us while we were just an idea. He considered every detail as He created us.
  • He gave us the exact talents abilities and heart we need to live the dream He has for us.

God Gives Clarity

Only when we are close to God will we find the destiny we are meant to live.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

 Romans 12:2

This scripture says it is only when we decide to let God transform us will we know who we are meant to be and what we are meant to do.

Are you allowing the Bible to transform you? To transform the love you have for your roommates, spouse, kids, family, coworkers? Does the Bible transform your thoughts, give you self-control, increase your patience, forgiveness, kindness, etc?

God says the life He has chosen for us is good, pleasing and perfect. We will only know the impact God has chosen us to have when we are close to Him.

Questions/Application

  •  Do you believe God has chosen you? Chosen you to have an incredible impact? To lead an influential life?
  • What people has God put in your life to influence?
  • Who is God trying to get you to be?
  • How are you responding to God’s call for you to grow?
