Holiday Celebration Service & Annual Toy Drive
God is able to do far more than we could ever ask for or imagine. He does everything by his power that is working in us.
Ephesians 3:20 NIrV
Imagination is what gives Christmas its magic. It’s the eagerness of a child listening for reindeer hooves and the delightful impossibility of villages made entirely of gingerbread.
As we grow up, our sense of wonder and imagination can get buried under the weight of life’s difficulties and anxieties. But it’s still there, and Christmas is the perfect time to rediscover it. That’s why we’re hosting Holiday Celebration Services full of faith-filled imagination this Christmas season!
As Ephesians 3 tells us, God is a God of imagination. He sees the unseeable and does the unbelievable. When he sent Jesus, he saw what no one else could: light conquering darkness—a thrill of hope, a weary world rejoicing.
And God created us to imagine the same way: to look at ourselves and the world with faith-fueled vision. This kind of imagination empowers us to press on in difficulty and rise above the challenges that try to hold us back.
Join us at any of our nine campuses for a special Holiday Celebration Service on December 14 as we reclaim our sense of wonder and discover a life of “Pure Imagination”! Each service will feature a powerful and inspiring worship service along with fun-filled activities that will fill us with joy and a magical spirit of childlike imagination.

What to expect
Our Holiday Celebration Services are a time of great joy and fun for everyone. In addition to an inspiring biblical message, worship service, and Toy Drive, each of our eight services will have some unique highlights. Here’s what you can expect at each one:
- Dublin: Take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, support the Office of Violence Prevention in Stockton through our Toy Drive and Chromebook Drive, and leave with some Christmas hot cocoa.
- Palo Alto: Put on your best ugly sweater for a chance to win a prize! We’ll also have a visit from Santa, special musical performances, and hot chocolate.
- Pleasant Hill: Stroll through Candy Cane Lane to take a photo with Santa, sing along to classic Christmas music and a children’s choir, and enjoy holiday treats.
- San Francisco: Wear your ugly sweater and enjoy Christmastime in the city. In addition to Christmas carols and cocoa, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be onsite for photos—and they’re bringing snow!
- San Jose: Take a photo with Santa, make a personalized holiday card, and enjoy Christmas carols during our service. Make sure to stop by our hot chocolate bar on your way out!
- San Leandro: It will be a day of “Pure Imagination” at our Wonka-themed Holiday Celebration Service. We’ll have an ugly sweater contest, baking contest, photos with Santa, special musical performances, and cookies and cocoa.
- Sunnyvale (10:30 am service): Christmas carols, a children’s choir, and candy canes will be waiting for you at the morning service in Sunnyvale. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be dropping by for photos, and we’ll have a hot cocoa bar stocked with warm drinks and slices of pie for everyone.
- Sunnyvale (1 pm service): Join us for a Winter Wonderland, complete with falling snow! Enjoy carolers, Christmas songs, Santa, a hot chocolate bar, appetizers, and a “Stocking Station” where you can make a stocking for a family experiencing homelessness.

Donate to our Holiday Toy Drive
One of the highlights of our Holiday Celebration Service is our annual Toy Drive. Since 2008, our Toy Drive has brought over 22,000 toys to kids in need across the Bay Area, thanks to the generosity of our community. This year, we’re once again partnering with local agencies to spread love and compassion. You can join us by donating a new, unwrapped toy at any of our campus Sunday services on December 14th, or by sharing with friends to invite their support.
