You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. [37] You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached— [38] how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

Acts 10:36-38 NIV

In Acts 10, Peter spoke about the reputation Jesus had throughout the land—not just as a teacher or miracle worker, but as someone who “went around doing good.” His life made people feel seen, valued, and loved—and that’s the kind of church we strive to be.

At the Bay Area Christian Church, we’ve been living that mission for decades. In 2000, we helped launch E-Soccer, a groundbreaking sports program where kids of all abilities could play side by side. What began as a simple idea has grown into E-Life—a movement of disability inclusion that now spans multiple sports, campuses, and communities.

This week, we’re highlighting three recent “doing good” moments that captured our heart for inclusion—and inspired thousands.

Inclusive Easter egg hunt

For most families, egg hunts are simple fun. But for many families with special needs, the crowds, noise, and chaos make these events overwhelming—or impossible.

That’s why we make our Easter egg hunts inclusive for kids of all abilities. At our Sunnyvale campus, kids enjoyed hunts tailored to their needs, from sensory-friendly corners to smaller groups, and every child had a chance to meet the Easter Bunny.

The smiles spoke for themselves, and so did the news: KRON4 and ABC7 both featured the event, highlighting how small adaptations can create unforgettable experiences.

Celebrating 25 years of E-Soccer

On April 19, E-Soccer celebrated 25 years of inclusive play! What began as a small program in 2000 has grown into a movement serving hundreds of families across the Bay Area.

At our anniversary event, 75 kids joined 25+ E-Soccer coaches and 30 members of the San Jose State University men’s soccer team along with assistant coach Jamie Reid for a day of drills, encouragement, and unforgettable memories. From skill stations to Q&A with college athletes, every moment reflected our mission: every kid belongs on the field.

Golden Buddies football clinic

On May 4, E-Sports partnered with Cal Football, the Cameron Institute, and Special Olympics Northern California for our third annual Golden Buddies clinic at UC Berkeley.

Over 250 kids—neurotypical and neurodivergent—ran plays, caught passes, and were cheered on by more than 40 Cal athletes. The Cal Band even joined to add the full stadium vibe!

Media outlets KTVU Fox 2 and NBC Bay Area covered the event, with over 367,000 viewers hearing about how inclusion can unite communities and change lives.

Thanks for being the kind of church that keeps choosing to do good. We hope these stories inspire you as much as they’ve inspired us.
