[24] We were saved with this hope in mind. If we hope for something we already see, it’s not really hope. Who hopes for what can be seen? [25] But if we hope for what we don’t see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Romans 8:24-25 GW

We cannot hope for what we can see, so why would you hope for something you can see? Maybe it’s to avoid disappointment, fear of losing control, or you don’t want to wait for God’s timing when you can grab what you want right now. What God wants to give us is better than anything we can see, think up or imagine. Decide to pray and tell God what you hope for, but cannot see right now. It will take perseverance, but remember it’s worth the wait!
