Join us for a socially distant double feature movie night!

The Bay Area Christian Church invites you to join us for a special summer movie night! We’ve reserved an entire outdoor theater lot at the West Wind Capitol Drive-in for a safe, socially-distant evening of fun.

All are welcome! Make it a fun family night, date night, or roommate night with your household. During the movie you can sit outside your car on lawn chairs to enable us to see each other while keeping a safe physical distance.

This year, we have made important and necessary changes to our annual calendar to help fight the spread of Covid-19 and keep each other healthy. We understand that this has meant missing some of our favorite events like our teen and middle school camps and the encouragement that comes along with them.

But we also believe that faith helps us innovate in the face of difficulty. In that spirit, we hope this summer drive-in movie night provides you with a fun, encouraging fellowship experience that is also safe and healthy.

At all times we will be implementing and requiring the wearing of masks and proper social distancing when attendees are outside their vehicles. This is a requirement of  the venue. As well, to help insure everyone’s safety and health, attendees will be expected to limit their interaction to those within their immediate assigned areas.

Your attendance signifies you understand you’re responsible for your adherence to social distancing guidelines (per the Santa Clara County Public Health Department) and that you will at all times consider the safety of others.

Parking is limited to 200 cars, so admission will be charged at a flat rate of $60 per car. This averages to about $15 per person for a car of 4 people. We also are offering a special discounted rate of $45 for single parents.

So bring your lawn chairs, snacks, and of course hand sanitizer and masks for a fun socially distanced summer drive-in double-feature! Our family-friendly feature presentation “Wonder” will start at 8:30 pm with “Karate Kid (2010)” to follow about 10 pm.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I arrive early to tailgate?

Yes, you can arrive as early as 7:30 pm to eat, get snacks, and hang out before the movie starts at 8:30 pm.

Will concession stands be open?

Plan to bring your own food and drinks.

Why is admission charged per car?

We’ve reserved the entire theater, and have a parking limit of 200 cars. Charging admission at a flat rate per car helps us ensure we will have enough space for everyone. The flat rate of $60 breaks down to about $15 per person if you have 4 people in your car.

How will we ensure safe social distancing?

Social distancing is very important to stopping the spread of Covid-19 and keeping each other healthy. Our ushers will be present throughout the night to help remind everyone to keep up social distancing and mask-wearing.

Do I need a parking pass for my dashboard?

Yes. Please print your receipt after you register and put it on your dashboard. When you drive up to the theater, inform the attendant that you are with the “BACC Summer Drive-In” event. You will be directed to our screen and lot, and ushers will direct you where to park.

What should I bring with me?

Make sure to bring hand sanitizer and masks to practice safe social distancing. In addition, you can bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit outside your car, and make sure to bring your own snacks and drinks.
