For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Titus 2:11-14

There are tremendous efforts of heroism and sacrifice on daily display as Texas battles Hurricane Harvey.  We wanted to make certain the Bay Area Christian Church was in the fight.  As a result, we have donated $7500 dollars to the Red Cross Harvey Relief Fund to support the 32,000 currently being sheltered, $2500 for the Autism Society of Texas which is doing the necessary work of inclusion as they help displaced families with special needs, and $5000 to the Greater Houston Church to assist our brothers and sisters in Christ who have been devastated by the floods.

While no amount of money large or small can replace the human lives lost or destruction wreaked by the storm, it is our hope that God will bless this gift as he sees his people eager to do good for everyone.    There are a great many members of the Bay Area Christian Church creating personal “Doing Good Projects” to support Texas, and we would encourage you to get personally involved or donate in keeping with our Expo theme in becoming a Force for Good.
